Just a few feature suggestions/changes to be made to the police department if & when possible. I'll try to keep this organised for ease of reading...
Helicopter Shop
CH-67 Huron needs to be priced, probably in the 400-500k region?
WY-55 Hellcat also needs to be priced, probably 250-300k ?
I'd also like to request that the WY-55 Hellcat's co-pilot camera is equipped with thermal imagery again. You may think it’s overpowered, and it sort of is, but I think the power could be offset by the price of the helicopter and also the fact that two pilots are required to work together in order to use it successfully. This creates an opportunity for roleplay and teamwork, and I think if we want to have a successful and fun air unit thermal vision is a must.
WY-55 Hellcat would also be sweet as if it has a nice police air unit skin. Not urgent though!!!
Coastguard License
Would be ideal if we had a coastguard license available for police, giving them access to the boat shop.
Also, I reckon wetsuits, rebreather, diving goggles should be purchasable from the regular NATO clothing shop upon acquisition of a coast guard license as opposed to only purchasable from the ARRT shop. I personally feel that diving gear is not really suitable exclusively for a rapid response team, but should be available for the regular police force.
Sirens
Any chance we could get a yelp siren? Not a big issue if not but would be cool for pulling people over.
Clothing Options
I reckon there could be a bit of a rejig of the clothing options at each tier. Not an immediate issue but definitely something we should work on over time. I feel like seeing an upgrade in guns & clothing is a big part of encouraging people to work their way through the ranks.
Also, not sure if it's due to my rank but I don't spawn with the textured NATO Uniform. I currently spawn wearing the CTRG Combat Uniform but I feel like regular cops who are not ARRT should spawn with the Rangemaster Suit.
NATO Weapons Shop
Currently the Sting 9mm costs £30,000 and the MX 6.5 costs £30,000. I would reduce the price of the sting down to £15,000 or just increase the price of the MX 6.5
Would also be cool to buy a tactical flashlight if possible, and maybe a couple of basic scopes. Nevermind. I just found the accessories button.
Guidelines
I’ve been working on some upgraded police guidelines. Pretty basic at this point in time but I’m still also learning how we want to structure the police force and how you guys want it to be ran. It would be good if we could look at that and possibly get it implemented into the police section on the forums.
Map Edits?
If & when possible, there’s a couple of minor issues which need to be addressed.
Nato checkpoint outside Kavala is set up for left hand drive. The bar gates are also not user friendly. Can’t really access them without having to run around the massive concrete walls which slows down the process. Additionally, the little walkway passage is situated atop a sandbag fence which is a bit annoying. Could potentially just move the whole checkpoint a little bit into a better position to avoid the wall? Not a MAJOR issue but a little wish. Also, the little green huts are locked so the doors cannot be opened. I also feel that having three bar gates in a row is a bit excessive. You could cut it down massively by just having one pair of bar gates in the centre, or play it a bit safer and have two pairs on either side.
Furthermore, it would be great if the police air garage could have a few adjustments.
A light should be added so that it’s possible to actually see what you are doing there at night time. Currently there are no lights and it’s difficult to see anything.
Also, there should be a police general store there so that police officers can purchase night vision goggles etc etc if they spawn there.
Moreover, the current spawn point is a little bit too close to the green tower near the ATM. It’s a minor issue but the Huron’s rotors actually intersect with it upon spawning. That sort of makes it difficult to take off… I’ve included a picture below of my proposed new spawn area which is further away from the green tower problem.
